Wait- Where the heck did February go?!

Anyway, no worries, I'm not aiming to like threaten anyone or harass, I understand not everyone will agree with me, just wanted to clear up what I meant.

And people can still play or get their things, I'm not anyone's boss, enjoy what you enjoy. x

Honestly though, each to their own! I used to like Nintendo as well, heck I still fondly own, play and re-experience various old titles from them. On their systems, etc. I just can't get behind some of the choices they've made in recent years, especially. Just got a bit exhausted with them.

Yeah, I know... the internet is a breeding ground for some awful people. That's why I've been trying to have conversations, rather than dismissing outright.

That being said, my posts were followers online long before this - I just preferred it for simplicity sake. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I honestly can't remember, it was like... at least a year or two back now, perhaps longer (I really can't recall). All I remember is that change in opinion. Yeah, definitely going to look into it more now, as I did always love Gorillaz. Maybe that was it? Pretty sure it was back on 'X'... *Shiver*.

I've replied to as many as I could to expand on things and clear up some stuff, but going to post this as a general point of reference and leave it at that, else it'll be endless.

I also deleted the thread section regarding Harry Potter as it doesn't really add or detract anything of major value.

It was honestly just an impromptu rant to, what I thought would be a very small audience. Very little immediate thought. Some inaccuracies, such as Nintendo not being directly responsible for Pokemon or it's creation. However, the points surrounding the reasoning for my dislike of them remain valid.

Really didn't expect that post about Nintendo to explode as it did. For the record, to clear up misunderstandings - I do not support JK and I do not like HP. I am Pro LGBT+

I'm just surprised a moment of emotion venting that lasted all of 20 seconds, go around as far as it did. The internet's funny.

To be fair, genuinely thought I was just blurting angry ramblings to an audience, most of whom usually like 3 or 4 people actually interract with. I didn't expect this to blow up or bother so many. If anything I'm humbled and will be more mindful going forward.

I'm aware of HP and its author, intimately so. And I know that supporting it in any capacity is supporting anti-trans movements. Believe me, I do not support that or JK's awful bullshit. Never will.

As someone who is also, I understand and apologise for the poor wording. They are alike in the regard I have already explained and the reason I used that example to begin with - separating art from artist. But I poorly worded or expanded on that, a better choice would have been Disney.

Which is why I admit I definitely could have chosen a FAR better example - Disney for instance. Probably fitting that bill a lot better.

But it was a spur of the moment emotional vomit on an otherwise small and unknown account, with very little thought put into it. I'll accept fault there.

That being TPC, who oversee's GameFreak, who actually make the games. TPC is in part owned by Nintendo, tied by association and being the often known face of the product.

I was focused on the other area's mentioned, not their stance of LGBT matters.

Again, to explain, as you're skipping over the context I've given - my train of logic while writing was about those who would defend Nintendo, claiming separation of art from artist.

Just to be clear though, I was not aiming to harass or really achieve anything more than, well, blowing off steam and expressing my general disliking for the company.

I also understand and respect that, now it has that attention, many will be rubbed the wrong way. They are just as valid.

I've at least done my research on that end and don't have a lot of respect for them due to the many cases, if I'm wrong about something or feel I've misrepresented the point somehow, I am most certainly open to being corrected, redirected to sources.

While I tied Pokemon to Nintendo, which is technically wrong on a few fronts, my points about their practices and how they behave on the game development front, as well as game preservation and other legal whims, aren't inaccurate. That was my main point and why I can't support them/ dislike them.
