Why did they make another 18 seasons of The Simpsons

The Simpsons Movie was released 18 years ago, eighteen seasons into the series, which means that now the film sits in the exact midpoint of the series.

Not entirely sure if the math checks out but I'm sure the Letterboxd algorithm knows what it's doing
