A huge welcome back to a new school year from the English and Media Faculty. We are so proud of the achievements of our senior pupils and their fantastic results from session 24/25. Rigour, aspiration and perseverance will always see you right in life! We hope you all have a productive first term!

First day back for our fab Braes Buddy, Jamie. Whilst supporting pupils with the return to school he’s been getting some reading in. We’re excited to be trialling a new project @braeshighschool.bsky.social with @braesmodlang.bsky.social where Jamie will listen to pupil talks. Muy bueno, Jamie! 🇪🇸🇩🇪

So happy that we have restarted our partnership with a local nursery - some S4 students from Miss McQuade's Early Years and Childcare course and I now have the opportunity to read with the nursery children every Thursday morning. Such a joy and its a definite highlight of my week!

Being a School #SaturdayLibrarian is rare but not unheard of! Had the best day running storytime (and giant jenga) at the @braesfamengagement.bsky.social Community Fun Day last weekend.
