I've seen people recommend fishing reel counters but haven't tried it myself. Currently, I just measure the circumference of my yarn swift and multiply by number of strands in the hank, but this is tedious.

I'm personally not interested in keeping my photos and the rest of my posts separate, so if I use Flashes it will be with the same account. My knitting and nature photos are just as much me as the political musings and if people don't like that they don't have to follow 🤷🏻‍♀️

I've done so much reading today. Went for a walk and a read in the park between appointments instead of scrolling my phone.

Likely just that I'm not concentrating as hard when I'm knitting a full garment. I tend to knit while doing other things (unless it's extremely complicated)

It really fluffs up a bit in blocking. But I often have to change needle size to get gauge, and then I also have to account for the way I nearly always knit looser on the actual project than the gauge swatch.

The only money I spent today was $450 on needed dental work that I already had to reschedule once due to getting covid. But it's so easy to go days at a time without buying anything!

Bonus: I got called a model patient. "They don't get much better than you." Thanks, I have far too much experience with dental work and a lifelong need to be accommodating.

The double dose was already wearing off by the end but they'd gotten past the painful work by then.

At the dentist getting fillings and they had to double up the local anesthesia because apparently my body is resistant (this happens every time. But it was only this dentist who told me you're not supposed to be able to feel them drilling!)

Ah that's so cool! I had a point halfway through college where my teacher thought I was becoming a mezzo soprano because my low range was so strong but nope, still a soprano 😊

I'm a soprano (lyric coluratura) - I'm not currently singing anywhere but hoping with an upcoming job change and better schedule that I can join a choir and maybe audition for the local opera chorus.

I hope you are able to start finding joy in singing again (from another singer 💗)
