Spring is here, temps are approaching 70F (21C), time to get out and enjoy our great #parks. One of my favorites, #Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge has it all, beaches, #birds, wild #horses, sweeping #marshlands, trails, and even a #lighthouse.

Ripienos #Salisbury has finally opened, and it was well worth the wait. Their wood-fired #pizza is authentically Italian. Life just does not get any better than sitting by a lake, with a hot pizza, a cold Peroni, and Frank Sinatra crooning in the background.

#Delmarva is one of the oldest parts of the US. It is full of beautiful historic villages nestled along the estuaries of #ChesapeakeBay. One of the most historic and beautiful of these villages is #StMichaels #Maryland, the town that "fooled the British."

#OceanCity is more than just beaches. It is surrounded by bays, #marshland, and parks. Herring Cove Nature Park, contains a stand of majestic #lobblolly pines clustered along an inlet of Wight Bay.

The Zwaanendael Museum in Lewes celebrates Delaware's Dutch pedigree and the fact that the Zwaanendael colony, founded in 1631, is what saved Delaware from becoming part of Maryland. Though it did not save them from being absorbed by Pennsylvania.
