Explains a lot of people's attachment to D&D I think? Like of you want to play in a world then you go with something you know and sort of fits anything, vs people who find the almost fitting jarring against the game

I think it's such an interesting divide within rpgs that people want to play in a world and not have to think too much about the gamified aspects and who wants to play a game which evokes a world with the mechanics
