Had a liberal politician here who did the exact same thing. Called Israel an apartheid state and said there was a genocide. When he got elected he turned his language to it’s “complicated”. Revolutionary politics cannot exist in establishment parties.

It takes so little to pacify people. Mamdani should be getting grilled 24/7 about his recent decisions to retain Tisch as Police Commissioner, support Hakeem Jeffries, and meet with billionaires like Trump, but instead he makes a pop culture reference and everyone goes, "Aww, he's just like us!"
