First muddy ride of the winter on the#suzuki #drz400s at #prairiecitysvra I bit it almost immediately, I was in my own head about traction when I should have not been second guessing my skills and the bike’s capabilities. Next time will be better now that the bandaid has been ripped off.

Loaded the #drz400s onto the new #crosstrekwilderness with the #hitchhauler for the first time. It did the job pretty well! I don’t think that I would go bombing down any crazy trails in this configuration but that’s what the DRZ is for 👍 Thanks to Ray Emanuel at #maitasubaru for getting me set up 🤙

Hiking along the south fork of the American River today. The submerged bridge is the Salmon Falls bridge.

We’ve owned this 2008 Saturn Vue XR AWD since April 6, 2011 when we bought it with 40,030 miles on it, the odometer now reads 174,734 miles. After a water pump failure it was time. So so we replaced it with a new 2025 #Subaru #crosstrekwilderness from #maitasubaru 👍

I don’t think he was psyched about being caught with that dorky helmet on 😜

What started with an attempt to get out on an unwilling 2001 #yamaha #fz1 ended with a day in the dirt on the 2023 #suzuki #drz400s at #prairiecitysvra #oldbikeproblems but still a good day on two 👍

Rode the #drz400s around #prairiecitysvra for a couple of hours last Tuesday, this uncharacteristically mild weather is a treat for #folsomca it even drizzled a bit! 🌧️

Rode the #fz1 up to #southlaketahoe last Thursday. Had long stretches of #hy50 to myself there and back, a great day👍

Had a good time catching up with my friends in Bozeman for drinks, ATVs food and conversation. Twenty six years in and our friendship is still going strong ❤️

Lost a clutch cover when I was riding some #singletrack at #prairiecitysvra didn’t notice it was missing until I got home. I didn’t like the idea of losing parts like that so after some research I found this #polisport Engine Guard Kit made to fit the #Suzuki #drz400s

So… the idea that having both series (MotoGP and WSBK) on the same rubber making it easier for WSBK riders to come to MotoGP is dead after a few months 🤷‍♂️ I get that the tires between would have still been worlds different. But it didn’t stop people from making the assertion.

Mother’s Day weekend in #napaca

First #dirtbike sesh with the coworkers at #foresthillohv in #tahoenationalforest the #drz400s did really well and the old #saturnvue with the #drawtite receiver #hitchcarrier have proven trustworthy after taking #iowahillroad road home. If it didn’t fall off there it’s not falling off 😳🙃😂

Took the #yamaha #fz1 on a ride on #mosquitoridgeroad into #tahoenationalforest to see some snow and #frenchmeadowsreservior 600 curves in 36 miles.

The nice #acerbis lettering on my 4 gallon tank just kept getting rubbed off by my knees. So I swapped them out for a vinyl stickers. Think I might cut off the “Italia” part from a distance it looks like it says “ACERBISI.”

I like that it gives the rookie(s) as chance to shine before the real racing starts. It’s kind of fun.

#dirtbike day! Put the #drz400 onto the #hitchhauler on the #saturnvue and went out to #prairiecitysvra for a little #winterincalifornia fun. Second time riding in the #mud had a few front washouts and probably should have stayed off the #singletrack but I learn from every little tip over and stall

Life in #reatimeops means sometime you get to spend your birthday in a #controlroom making sure people’s lights stay on.

Great recommendations, went and played it on cassette out in the garage after giving it a go on the AirPods.

Well, I tried. Rode the #drz400s out to #prairiecitysvra, made the old codger at the gate smile/chuckle, tiptoed around the practice #MX track once and left. It was like riding on ice and I want going to try the slippery rocky trails. #nothingventured

Well… the question now becomes one of #fortitude. Do I purposely go and ride my #dzr400s in the rain after my #realtimeops #nightshift? Do you really want your first time riding in the rain and mud to be by choice or unplanned? I’m 50/50 on what I’m going to do. #staytuned
