I can now confirm that MiniDisc support hasn’t worked since PSBBN Definitive Patch 2.10. Nobody noticed until recently. The issue is related to Sony’s DRM and it broke when I increased the max size of the music partition.

Thanks! Over 1,400 unique icons have been generated this weekend. It would have been even more but submissions weren't working properly for around 16 hours.

Look what I stumbled across on AliExpress — a mini PS2 with an optical drive! It even has some kind of IDE resurrector mod. Sadly, it only comes with a 128GB drive, so it’s not compatible with the PSBBN Definitive Patch… maybe upgradable if there's room inside!

Just pushed a #PSBBN update!

The game installer now automatically creates HDD-OSD icons. If a game's cover exists in the OPL Manager Art Database, an icon will be generated.

All new icons are automatically contributed to the HDD-OSD Icon Database! #PS2 #PlayStation #retrogaming

You're always taking a risk when buying a cheap SSD. I recommend the Kingston A400 range of SSDs. They're reasonably priced, not overkill and work well with PSBBN.

If it's going to the browser, the issue isn't PSBBN related. Definitely a hardware problem, the PS2 just doesn't recognise the drive. I'm guessing LaunchELF won't recognise the drive either.

It should work on practical all HDD/SSDs. What is the problem exactly? Have you tried a different dive and it worked?

I could but it's simpler to just delete all the images in the icons/art folder that have a game ID for a filename.

Also, artwork is being corrected regularly. If any of your games have incorrect artwork, delete the incorrect images from the icons/art folder on your PC. Next time you run the game installer, the artwork will be re-downloaded.

The #PSBBN Art Database keeps growing with weekly updates! Over 200 new images were added tonight—bringing the totals to 10,788 for games and 102 for homebrew apps.

If your games are missing artwork, it's worth re-running the game installer now and then to fill in those gaps!

I'm trying to install via windows and editing the Game_path part is a bit unclear. how do you edit the gamepath to linux compatible path when you're one a windows machine? in the past simply copied the path in Linux and pasted it there. Now on Windows, my games are in an external drive D:

If you're using WSL and the drive is mounted in Windows, it will also be mounted in Linux at /mnt/{drive-letter}

This is great and a must for all ps2 owners. I was just wondering if there's a way to get the ps2bbl config file to point to OPL, so can boot straight to OPL and get to the remainder of my games that the psbbn installer didnt instal. Thanks

Yes! I recommend making an APPS folder in __common and placing OPNPS2LD.ELF there. Then you just need to edit __sysconf/PS2BBL/CONFIG.INI, for example:
LK_CIRCLE_E1 = hdd0:__common:pfs:/APPS/OPNPS2LD.ELF
