Sketchpage — A page of sketches and drawings of my new sona I haven't formally introduced. He's based off of a Panda Shepherd! Here's a bit of trivia: A Panda Shepherd is a purebred German Shepherd with a rare genetic mutation causing a piebald coat, which is approximately 35% white and the rest black and tan. I felt such a strong connection with the concept because pandas and dogs are such a big part of me — pandas especially, because you know. That's where it started. 🐼 I hope ya'll like himb 🧡

I am not perfect. Our family is not perfect. And the odds were stacked against us. But I'm glad the kids turned out okay, despite not having a grandmother. Always and forever ride the storm.

But money cannot buy time. Time lost, the 10 years since my niece and nephew have grown up. All of the moments, the diaper changes, the wrestling, the piggy back rides, learning to cook, learning to find the strength to stay sober by being a role model. Learning to walk the quiet line.

Money can, by happiness, in the sense that it will allow you comfort long enough so you can focus on fostering your relationships. But it is temporary. She chose a life to not have grandkids, but instead inherit multi-million$ in estate assets from her now deceased boyfriend.

She didn't budge, instead doubled down. She demanded she is paid what she is "owed", wanted an apology. I reiterated one more time, that this means that she will not be able to see her grandkids. "Then so be it." She said. "Then you do not deserve to be a grandmother.".
