He accomplished very little other than a few tax breaks and then lost an election. The country could easily survive 2 years of 2016 Trump. If his health lasts that long.

Even Trump's own party thinks his presidency will be over if the Dems take congress. Ted Cruz was pleading with him not long ago, and it was leaked.

His own party won't enforce the checks and balances with their constitutional power, but the other party definitely will. I think it's as simple as that.

It's quite likely that the midterms will put Congress in the hands of Democrats. Even Ted Cruz said (in private) "Mr. President, they'll be impeaching you every week. Your presidency will be over."

When the English seized Richard II, it inaugurated 200 years of civil conflict, and people at the time knew that it would and were horrified at the prospect.

Look, be serious. We can't violently seize an elected official. Once you start doing that, it becomes normal, and we know which side has more guns. "They did it on January 6th!" is not a counter argument. That would just make violence the norm on both sides. Country over. World chaos.

Also naivete. That's just not how the creative process works.

These live service failures remind me of 2008-13, when everyone was making an MMO that failed. There's only so much market, and the big boys are already eating most of the pie.

The players are right there. If you know how to interpret their feedback, you can preempt every problem.

Whenever I've seen leadership ignore (or never solicit) player feedback in things I've worked on, it has led to failure and meandering vision.

One solution may have been to open the game up to the outside world [...] and garnering feedback from a wider audience — a process that had helped other multiplayer games, such as Arc Raiders and Battlefield 6, find success. But whenever that notion came up at Wildlight, leadership nixed it.

It blows my mind we have fiction writers that do not read.
