I'll admit that combat bit at the end isn't my favorite part. I think they needed *something* for the combat, so it does add to the game, but on its own it isn't super interesting. The Tetris part of the game is neat!

LOL, I found the weirdest, best little game on Steam today!
Some dev was like: "Slay the Spire, but make it TETRIS."
And you know what? I'm hooked!

I'm 8 hours into The Last Spell and it is 😍 SO GOOD 😍
I love tactics and strategy games, and I'm a sucker for games where you have a hero roster with personality modifiers that impact gameplay (Darkest Dungeon, for example). Honestly feels like someone made this game for me personally ❤️

Ohhhhh man - the amount of time I've spent on Reddit is so unhealthy. I have nothing else to do while trapped under a baby - I scroll it all day!
Several years ago I removed all other social media (including Bluesky) from my phone. I thought that this was good for my mental health.
It was not :(
I loved that game. Already put ~20 hours into it across different platforms. :D

I need more games to play:
- I have ~45 minutes free every 2.5 hours. I need something with no time pressure that I can easily put down and pick up again.
- sick of visual novels, want indie, strategy, or tactics
- don't have energy for a large learning curve (ex: 4X games) unless it is fantastic

You really want to play this one.
Lab Rat plays well on the Steam deck already, but we didn't qualify for the check b/c certain text was too small.
We have an update planned that includes translations for multiple languages, Steam Deck verification (text resizing is needed for both), and key remapping. Should launch in < 8 weeks.

Heh, yeah... I know that feeling so well! Every game artist has some game that they spent years on that was canceled pre-announce and they can never share that work. It's a shitty artist-rite-of-passage in this industry.
