Currently learning Japanese

1. Since I was 18 years old.
2. I thought it sounded cool and I wanted to communicate in a different language.
3. Manga or TV
4. Kanji was a big wall for me at first
5. Hearing a joke for the first time in Japanese and actually understanding it! Bonus points if I can use that joke later!!

The biggest compliment I get in Japan isn't 日本語上手 "your Japanese is so good!", but どうして日本語がそんなにうまいの！？ "why is your Japanese so good?!"

I want to take the JLPT N1 somewhere warm! Maybe Florida!
