I am supporting a grassroots initiative Ignite, to uplift and support #hci researchers that are experiencing barriers to research. I have several *unfunded* PhD spots in critical computing through Ignite.

Today @incldisability.bsky.social I asked in my keynote, "What action will you take to effect change for people with disabilities?" We got replies! (alt text in comments)

At OPM, Musk’s staffers won’t leaveβ€”they work around the clock and have even installed sofa beds in the office. Our access to data systems has been restricted, raising serious concerns about cybersecurity and a complete lack of oversight. We are keeping our heads down and documenting everything.

@ Phoebe it’s woke to request alt text. People are good at performative access. People are bad at testing for low visionβ€” I’m mean did you see my email about how bad PCS chair is for me?

Everybody’s name is cut off and there are no pictures of people so I can’t tell who people are…

Yeah, but I can barely use it because it’s really not working with low vision mode. Maybe I can find some accessibility settings.
