It’s so weird when the visiting team is wearing the same color as the floor and as the fans

Must've been the greatest rookie minicamp kicking performance the world has ever seen out in Baltimore this weekend huh. Kudos to them for putting some real pressure on the rook in a minicamp setting to see how he'll handle high leverage kicks. Football decision and all, ya know…

You just know Vrabel is juiced to pick the last guy in the draft and make fun of him every day for the next few months for all the publicity he’s getting being Mr. Irrelevant

I didn’t watch an exhaustive amount but from a few games of each guy I liked him better than Campbell and Membou. Banks at LT, Penning at LG, Fuaga at RT can be really good

Found my favorite ever clip of Tyron Smith. At USC, 1 man screen. Runs stride for stride with RB, evades a DB cutting him with 2 hands and a dead leg leap. Lands, finds the next guy, flattens him in space. One of the more insane athletic feats I’ve ever seen from an OT and it’s always stuck with me.

Which QBs don’t pat the ball? Mahomes does, Allen does, Lamar does. There’s weird stuff that gets exacerbated this time of year that generally doesn’t matter and that many others succeed with.

I’m not. Plenty of people were saying Cincy needs to get Chase signed last yr because the money would only go up. And plenty said after the Myles deal β€œsee! Now they have to pay so much more!” Star players run on 3 year cash cycles. They delayed that by a yr and saved $30m+ in 24. That’s not nothing

21.03.2025 22:06 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Money earned per year (no per game bonuses):

Jefferson: $38m in 2024, $70m after '25, $95.75m after '26, will want new deal in 27 but $125.75m if plays on this one

Chase: $5m in 2024, $45m after '25, $79m after '26, $109m after '27

Having to fill out all your info when going to the same doctor you’ve been seeing β€œbecause it’s a new year” is annoying. 1) they have a computer, the info is all there. 2) if they want to make your life easier they can print out your info and ask you to review it and make sure it’s all still correct

If you’re in a position to mark your ball you should. Or if it’s like directly on the line and reasonable that a ball could hit it. If it would take time to go mark it then just leave it.

It’s the pros. They are getting repaired in the way the course recommends. Doesn’t mean there aren’t sand filled divots that are much worse to hit from than nice grassy fairways.

It's so dumb that you can get relief in golf from the worst spots because of sprinkler covers, an electrical box in your vision, or a scoreboard over a hundred yards away in your line of sight, but you pipe a drive down the middle and are in a giant divot and you're screwed.

To link the two like that isn’t fair. Kelce has been a value add on the field and contractually for a decade as he produced WR1 numbers and defensive pull at 1/3rd of the price. The Chiefs chose Creed last year, Trey right now, and Jawaan with multiple restructures over a couple years, over Thuney.

05.03.2025 17:00 β€” πŸ‘ 41    πŸ” 2    πŸ’¬ 4    πŸ“Œ 0

Can’t say I saw that move coming! I’d still try to play Kingsley at LT but I prefer keeping him at LG over having to move him to RG (in the alternate world where Thuney stayed and Trey went). What are your reactions to the trade?

05.03.2025 15:33 β€” πŸ‘ 72    πŸ” 3    πŸ’¬ 14    πŸ“Œ 0

I wouldn’t say that. He needed Philly’s OL and scheme to look like THIS. It goes hand in hand, but when the other pieces are there you can really see how special he is. And then he’s totally worth it.

That’s pretty cool all the way around. Well deserved by Saquon and good on the Eagles for rewarding a top performer on a Super Bowl winning team. Don’t see things like that very often

If it’s not then we should still be talking about Montana as the best QB ever! Or at least bring him up more often. We got past that when Brady went to 10 and won 7. But now we’re back to having to those arguments for some reason. Missing the playoffs and 1st rd bounces are ok! Super Bowl losses not

So let’s pump the brakes on all the comparisons and appreciate what we’ve gotten the last 7 years from Pat. It’s been an unprecedented start to a career that has changed the dynamics of football. Teams adapted, he adapted. It’s legendary, it’s historic. Enjoy it.

11.02.2025 17:17 β€” πŸ‘ 74    πŸ” 2    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I know everyone has pointed out that Brady was 3-2 in his first 5 Super Bowls, at age 34. That he went 10 years between wins 3 and 4 (age 37). From 2005 through 2013: 9-8 playoff record, two SB losses to those Giants, 32 TD-19 INT, missed playoffs once, first round exit twice.

11.02.2025 17:17 β€” πŸ‘ 44    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

It feels like we’re trying to blend MJ and Brady and hold Pat to that standard. No one is repeating 6-0. Brady didn’t do it. No one else will, especially in football. Football is too interconnected, 1 game is too small. Jordan had 7 games to make sure his team won. Too different.
