Just fascinating to see Blair, a man whose reputation was ruined by the Iraq war, advocate joining a war that is exponentially stupider and more chaotic. How is it possible to learn nothing from the worst mistake of your life?

🚨On Tuesday the Prime Minister will order MPs to vote to undermine and restrict a fundamental cornerstone of our democracy - the right to trial by jury. It’s a move that will set us on a path to toward authoritarian justice.
MPs must step up and tell him NO

As Operation Metro Surge recedes, concern grows over tactics of Twin Cities bounty hunters
There are no licenses needed to become a bounty hunter in Minnesota, an issue that is raising concerns after highly public actions by bounty hunters in the Twin Cities this week.
Outside Minneapolis City Hall, two protesters blocked a van labeled with “Midwest Plumbing” decals advertising a disconnected phone number. The driver pointed a pistol at them. One of the armed men shot pepperballs into the crowd.
The men weren’t federal agents. They were bounty hunters.

🚨Independent analysis shows these changes would make NO meaningful difference to the court backlog and there is no credible evidence it will make justice swifter - WHAT IT WILL DO HOWEVER IS PLACE US ON A PATH TOWARDS AUTHORITARIAN JUSTICE
Is that what we want?

The UK's permission for the US to use its bases in attacking Iran amounts to complicity in the crime of aggression. It drags us into what could be an endless war, without democratic or even parliamentary consent.

Allowing British bases to be used in an illegal war of aggression is a catastrophic and historic mistake.
Britain has been dragged into another war because our Prime Minister would rather appease Donald Trump than stand up for international law.

This is crazy. Surely by now the government must realise it will not achieve decency over division by trying to be Reform Lite?

The amount of joy and positivity in the U.K. this morning is wonderful. People voted for community, for inclusion, for collectivism and togetherness. This election has been a complete rejection of division, othering and nasty politics

Have you been watching Dirty Business on Channel 4? Sensational stuff. I hope there will be repercussions and serious action taken, including the abolitioon of the Environment Agency and its replacement by a fully-funded department including scientists and investigators with real legal powers.

Matt Goodwin is running: the search for Reform’s elusive byelection candidate
Nigel Farage’s man in Gorton and Denton has a huge public platform, and a taste for culture war. What happens when he concerns himself with bin collections?
Slightly buried in this excellent piece is the fact that Goodwin shares Stephen Miller’s love of the US 1924 Immigration Act - the one admired by Hitler and the reason why so many Jewish refugees (including Anne Frank’s family) were turned away
