so thankfully I’ve always known there’s a significant audience that won’t give me more than a second glance until I get older. It’s a nice professional buffer in an industry where youth fetishes are anything but taboo AND hints I may be less likely to be sought out to be manipulated for my naivety 🤞🏻

Definitely not alone in that! I frequently heard that I seemed too young from peeps who’d quickly disappear after chatting on stream a couple times and by 24 I was mad about it b/c I thought I was well and old enough 😤 nearly a decade later and uhhh… I get it now 🥴 not the kind of cute I like either

funny side note: the negging comments/messages that are more like “you’re old now” mostly seem to be coming from people my age or even older and it reminds me how damn cute it is that we’re all aging together…especially if I ignore how weird they’re being about it lol 🥰

I do absolutely prefer being negged for aging to being praised for looking young, I’ll fuckin’ TAKE IT! but the reminders that a significant chunk of my viewers are not just turned off by but ready to ‘punish’ me for aging out of their preference is just a tiny bit disturbing all things considered 🥴

aging is inevitable and viewers looking for any sign of aging in this industry is inevitable but BOY does the negging feel odd when you’ve been insisted to for SO long that you looked disturbingly young. *feels* like ppl telling me they preferred when they could pretend I was much younger than I am
