And before parents come for me, this is more an example of the shift the role of technology plays in our lives and I have seen this exact scenario dozens of times and it makes me sad every time.

I spend time in waiting rooms and this morning there was a parent with their infant. The parent was zoned out just scrolling on their phone and the baby was looking at the phone screen. It felt like a George Orwell version of a Norman Rockwell painting and it made me really sad.
