This year was the first time I started my festival off with a premiere of a friend's film. And I'm running into so many folks that it's hard to keep up with the movies, which is terrific in a way.

I did my first IFFR in 2008. Traveling there took me 3 hours and I was late for my first movie, so I ended up watching Paranoid Park on the frontest row of an IMAX screen. I haven't missed an edition since (except for that one time in 2022)

Seeing it at IFFR coming monday sandwiched between The Misconceived and The Exposure. Truly can't wait. I believeeee~

My main reason was to visit the Filmmuseum to watch some experimental works on 16mm. Finally got to see Ernie Gehr's Eureka!

Went to Vienna by Nightjet. Booked myself a Mini Cabin which was surprisingly comfortable for this 1.92m person. Now I only need to learn how to sleep soundly on a moving train.

The extent to which Games Done Quick has helped to steer the larger speedrunning community - one of the most hardcore video game enthusiast subcultures there is - into becoming something so welcoming, inclusive and supportive astonishes me

Opened a group exhibit last weekend with Pieter Swier and Site Steendam at Langhuis gallery in Zwolle. Deconstructed my short film Is All Around for it.

As director of the Louvre I'd spice things up by replacing the Mona Lisa without reason or announcement with a poster of all the first gen Pokémon.

It was tremendous fun and it's another all-timer. It looks great. So dynamic too! You really went all out on this one.

And tonight it'll premiere in the Netherlands alongside Eye of the Cat!
