From Circana's PlayerPulse - US video game player sentiment around the use of generative AI is worsening. In December 2025, over 25% of players said the use of generative AI would lead them to refuse or be less likely to buy a game.

What are your thoughts on robo taxis as transit? Autonomous vans, operated by the local transit agency, offering last mile services and covering gaps where higher volume transit isn't available.
It's obvious these are fleet, not personal vehicles. But why not have transit systems own the fleets?
If we learned nothing else from 2025, itβs that we shouldnβt take for granted that what we love will continue to be funded
If people and libraries donβt buy a certain kind of book, publishers will stop investing in them
Thatβs also one reason the library book bans are so scary
Wikipedia article text highlighted that says citation needed. I've blurred the other text around it because that's not the point.
careful! if you see a post claiming something that confirms your worries but doesn't link to the source do a 4 second web search to check if it's made up before spreading it into our eyeballs by reposting that. misinformation we agree with doesn't help our cause it weakens our case talking to others
06.03.2026 15:02 β π 15 π 5 π¬ 1 π 0I've been thinking about EIFDs a lot lately... and it occurs to me that they're potentially how we turn transit from something that *deprives* other projects of funding (due to high capital costs) into something that actually *provides* funding. Stay with me here. First, a primer on EIFDs. 1/12

Gut answer is that the shift to younger generations being poorer than their parents is the only thing that's ahistorical.
There are other inflection points, sure, but history isn't linear progress towards a goal any more than evolution is, so those don't feel ahistorical to me.
A friend of mine and I were interviewed about this by MTV our senior year of high school.

Let's normalize sharing reality and not "fake it til you make it" culture.
There are 20 people (and families) that could bankroll this personally, all of whom would still be rich enough to live lives of idle decadence afterwards.

When you accept that people who come after you deserve to have the same chances to experience something age appropriate that will change their lives the way your books and games did for you, you will be a healthier and happier person.
