It reminds me of Charles Sumner being beaten almost to death by a pro-slavery traitor. Sumner enraged the Rep by using his Free Speech to speak moral truth. In the end, history proved him right and no one remembers the Rep's name. They use violence to silence because they lost the morality.

I find the 'how many weeks will the war go?' questions odd.

The war is going to continue until Iran no longer has the capacity to block shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz or chooses to stop doing so.

Given the economic impact of strait closure, it really cannot end before that.

This country can afford anything it wants. Single payer healthcare. Affordable housing. Modern transit systems. High speed rail. Everything is a choice.

I was nearly tackled on my way into a Coast Guard base during the course of my work as a game designer.

A year later, I became the first person to ship commercial video game missions where you play as a real USCG vessel.

Currently helping an elderly family friend figure out if an email is a scam (which it obviously is) and hey, people who make mobile email apps, it's a dark pattern to not make the email address of the sender visible without needing to click on the little arrow thing.

i think mostly its just, if there is an article that makes you angry, you should probably check the sources to see if you are being rage baited. it's a real problem for everyone these days!

Been thinking lately about how this is the real recipe for sustainable development. Multiple teams, steady releases, multiple game scales.

Does imply a minimum scale, which is the most problematic bit.

I think my top 10 advice are (no particular order):

1) Don't bring your A Game to a project unless you have a solid contract and/or you have a proven record that both parties can handle conflict in a mature way. Don't waste years of your life for the sake of people who obviously don't respect you.
