I tell you, I like the way you speak. You've got a tongue worth paying attention to. I tell you, I want to be friends. I want to be friends we think about tearing each other open, mad and wet and sorry with nostalgia for a life we didn't live together. I'm doing fine, as in, my body takes up space and hardly anyone notices I'm a yawn away from dissolving. Pity makes a soul porous and people like us whistle when the wind blows. We remember being young together - all that trust in the goodness of our own lives, where did it go? Maybe I'll find it by sucking on your shoulders. I want you unreasonably. I remember touching you in ways I never have.

In my defense

A screenshot displaying a poem titled "Self Portrait as Pluto in Aquarius" by Isabelle Correa. The poem reflects on themes of love, rebellion, and existentialism. It begins with, "I have let love demolish me. I have let every delight and agony infect me like a wish for more wishes." It continues with evocative imagery and philosophical musings, such as "The cosmos should be impossible & yet you swagger like the smudged signature in a photo of a handwritten letter." The poem concludes with lines like, "Life is still too hard to bear but never all the time. Birds sing audaciously. The light is slick & silver and nothing belongs to me."
the planets move, the tides ebb and flow, and @isabellewrites.bsky.social continues to impress me with her poems.
happy Pluto in Aquarius. the last time we experienced this transit collectively (1778 to 1798) the American and French revolutions happened...
