Exhaustion makes Depression far worse. And Depression is incredibly exhausting. It also makes proper sleep really difficult. It's an awful spiral. Cats have definitely helped me fall asleep, stay asleep, and have less stressful dreams.

Also I certainly don't mean to sound like one of the people who say, "just eat better, sleep more, and go outside and exercise and all your problems will be solved." And I apologize if it feels like that. Having struggled with depression for my entire life, I understand how irritating that is.

I don't mean to pry and you can say you don't want to talk about it, but do you know if you're sleeping well or do you have lots of dreams and wake up a lot? Sometimes we don't actually ever reach deep sleep so the brain is still exhausted afterwards.
