📣New BCIdea - Better Lock Timeout Tracking With Tri-State Locking
Currently we only get AL stacktrace for 30% of the lock timeouts blockers which makes it hard to troubleshoot was happened.

users have gotten used to see the errors that have occured during a job queue transaction run and now with the absence of it the users might think that NO errors occured.

Have you noticed that in the job queue transaction for report 297 "Batch Post Sales Invoices" it no longer shows/links to the error messages recorded for that run?
The errors are still recorded in the page 709 "Error Message Register" so you can still see them
But ➡️
One year Directions4Partners (?) did a review of the new BC features from a "partner perspective". Has that stopped?

Location names used to be colors and then it was changed to "East/West/north". I know because I had to change our default configuration packages.
Now it seems to be colors again in standard cronus?
Anyone know something about that?

Another question related to that. Will the apps be forced upgraded when upgrading to major? If so we should warn customers that upgrading to major may affect their existing customizations => to costs

Our customers are more like "Don't update it if it aint broke".
I would advise customers to not do that before they had tested/read about the updates.
If you have heavy customized base app then the probability that customer specific features will get broken.

How do you handle it?

06.12.2024 10:33 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0#BCALHelp - We are having a case where the invoicing takes to long time. The invoicing time can vary between 4-15h even though the invoices ~same. When it goes slow the VM and Azure SQL only has CPU workload 7-16% resp. 14-40% .
Any ideas? Currently running on BC22.
No users were present in system.
