Don’t keep your leopard gecko on wood chips or calcium sand. Not unless you want them to die.

If it is calcium sand, all it will do is promote your gecko to eat it and slowly fill its guts with un-digestible minerals. They will crystallize or harden and either force your gecko to starve or it will die from its guts exploding..
