Omg. Kate?! 😂 I love the horny writing we used to do as teens, that’s incredible.

But then you also get Jimmy Olsen, who’s ALMOST a fantastic character but has the whole weird thing about calling Eve Mutant Toes and getting back with her because other people said she’s super hot despite her being too intense for him.

At his best, you get Vigilante, who is a murderous psychopath who actively enjoys killing but is also anti-racist and an absolute delight in every scene (owing as much to Freddie Stroma).

Gunn’s writing is hit and miss for me. I think of his humour and stories as “reformed-edgelord-core” and it’s both his greatest strength and his greatest weakness.
