Indeed. It’s a lot more reflective than I thought. Also, I wasn’t a fan of Jainism when it was released but it’s one of my favorites now in context with the rest of the songs. It sounds closer to a #DTP #DevinTownsendProject album than Lightwork or Empath.

One of the bands that really influenced Frost Giant is Ensiferum from Finland. It’s unreal to think they’ve been going strong for 25 years now. Released in 2021, Thalassic expanded their sound to include powerful clean vocals and a seafaring theme. One of their best! #epicmetal #finland #shred
