I don't know why he mentioned me to begin with but he seemed pretty freaked out. I don't believe it and I replied to him that he may have started with good intentions but that he made a mistake and should own up and take his posts down.

Don't think it's fake. I think you made a mistake (though with the best of intentions). It would be a shame to destroy all the work she has put in to save these dogs...I think you should make your good intentions clear and then maybe take the posts down?
