Would it have the same reception if someone decided that it was too expensive to treat all these new cancer patients, so the diagnostic criteria for cancer should be restricted so only the most extreme cases counted, and everyone else now has some other thing that disqualified them from treatment?

I was diagnosed as a child in the 90s/early00s, and yet I understand sarcasm. So I guess according to her, my childhood diagnosis, which is the standard she's going by, was wrong and it's actually something else because historically, autism was only for boys. Sure.

Read that piece and thought it sounded like bullshit, this is a good summary of why.

"Tiktok diagnosis" wouldn't be a problem if the system wasn't underfunded by this very thinking: that most diagnosis is fake, so the support isn't necessary.

Sadly my printer doesn't like mixed media paper, but putting a sheet of it behind thin printer paper seems to make the markers behave better.

To partly repeat a post I made a while back: It's never in the history of humanity been easier to find out what a word means, in less than the time it would take to type the question, never mind waiting for an answer.

I want to read books that could only have been written by *that* author, because of their perspective, their sense of humor, their pet peeves, their experiences, their niche interests. I want to read books flavored by the author as a human, not by tropes on repeat.

And that's how I want to write.
