Felt sour after all the discourse about AI translation, and wanted to go and do something positive as a mostly retired human translator. So I've decided to resume my dropped Wild ARMs 2 retranslation. Just familiarising myself with the workflow.

Honestly im fucking tired of companies outsourcing remakes of absolute seminal and important classic games to shitty ass devlopers who use shit ai, love to cut corners, localize poorly, fix issues post release, and have zero understanding of what makes these games good in the first place.

Suda 51 games arent for everyone. I dont think they ever will be. And i love that about his work. Still, it would be wonderful if it did hit for the general public.

In other news, Stay Inside's new record is out today and im super vibing with it. They definitely stepped away from the post hardcore sound that was featured heavily on their first lp, 'viewing', but make up for it in spades by upping the experimentation that was present in Ferried Away.

This game is awesome! although i am really really bad at it. Lol

I think a lot of n64 games struggled with the jump to 3d. but honestly its totally part of their charm that most n64 games are a little jankie. Theres just something about that era of games for me. Other than nostalgia i guess lol

I love rhythm games but something ive noticed since picking up an instrument is that any time i do boot up a rhythm game i always end up turning it off to go and play my guitar instead
