Best time to plug in earphones and listen to music is an empty metro train early morning.

But there was such a colossal shift this weekend, where me and my friend realised all that’s changed in the last 11 months.
Despite the familiarity and comfort of the 21 years long environment, it is difficult to let go of this 11 month old sense of freedom.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I was experiencing it, for a very long time. I have had glimpses of realisations. But largely, I still felt like the kid confined to the rules and expectations and acts.

The supposed freedom and independence, the agency, the stability, the confidence, the stimulation, the clarity, and what not.

The status didn’t change from dream to reality, until 2024. Four years post adulthood. To finally experience it.

The one question I have used to measure if I’m living my life is to ask myself
“Does this fit the dream you had about a 22 year old person’s life?”

Edit the age as appropriate. But I think it’s been the anchor for me. I didn’t idolise any single person, but it was the idea around it.

Probably the best thing we could do as humans would be being present when somebody wants to break open. The pleasure from having people you could fall back on, the pleasure of being falled back on (yes it’s a word now)

I had such interesting conversations both the days. I love making plans on the go, I truly do. Having lots of things planned make anxious in terms of social events (I need college work to be planned, don’t ask if I follow it tho)

Did I enjoy having my weekend academics-free? Yes.

Do I want to keep doing that? Yes.

Is it possible to get academical work done on the weekdays alone? Yes, for now.
