Meshtastic Optimization - How to Actually Connect with Your Neighbors For about a year, I had a Heltec V3 868 MHz board running as a Meshtastic node at my window. I live in a pretty rural area, other nodes would appear maybe once a month for a few minutes, nothing more.

T1000-E tracker with a hole in it

I was writing my own Meshtastic firmware for Seeed T1000-E and I accidentally wrote over the flash based bootloader and SoftDevice. This meant some lovely dremel time as the only way to fix is by accessing the JTAG pads inside the device.
