Vincent actually helps Libyan militias intercept refugee boats and pull them back to Libya, where the โrescuedโ refugees are subjected to rape, torture, slavery, and murder upon disembarkation.

Last week, Alaa convinced the Grand Chamber to set new rules on evidence in all Frontex pushback cases.
Judges found his account โsufficiently detailed, specific and consistentโ and sent the case back.
Continuing this litigation is costly.

We need more Bellingcat and more people to document and collect evidence to hold Frontex to account. โ
The work of Bellingcat and the open-source intelligence done on the case has been essential to bringing the case to the Court.
The new standards of evidence decided by the Grand Chamber show even more how needed that work will be in the future. ๐
