I’ve seen a few folk saying they didn’t enjoy this week’s Strange New Worlds. They’re entitled to their opinion, but for me? What a totally silly, sweet, joy-filled bit of telly. I know those episodes stick out in a short season, so they’re jarring compared to the srsbsns ones, but they’re SO GOOD.

Continuing my love for books about the Heroic Age of polar exploration, I’m reading ‘The Madhouse at the End of the Earth’, Julian Sancton’s book about the Belgica’s Antarctic expedition. The perfect mid-July read!

The piece about mix tapes in The Graun made me think of the endlessly brilliant ones that my pal @kamack.bsky.social used to present me with. A lot of stuff from my youth got chucked (thanks, Dad!) I’m so glad I was able to hold on to this gem. What a playlist!
