I'm currently reading "Parable of the Talents", which follows "Parable of the Sower" and am only able to read a few pages at a time, as Octavia Butler's view of the future is so often our present that I am compelled to slow my reading and think about the parallels. Highly recommend!

Sad that when a gentleman I was talking with (carefully, as I was acting as a docent) called me a patriot last week I wasn't sure what he meant. I think I am, but am not sure we share the same definition.

(Eyeroll).

So I just got back from meeting up with my egg supplier in a parking lot. Feeling pretty shady with my dozen $5 eggs. Did the deal & ordered more. I always need more.

I'm thinking it will be a good day to sleep in, or maybe take one of the dogs for a walk. Anything but watching!
