Got a bonus at work! It's finally time to give my Corvette some much needed love mechanically, and also very tempted to get an ultra low seat mount and go full fixed-back seat. When riding in a friend's prepped C5Z the difference between stock and bucket is astronomical.

Lily needs some bows as accessories, those ones that are at the back of the collar look really really cute

Spent Sunday on a mini road trip with @speirgan.bsky.social to visit some planes and missiles at Point Mugu and Blackbird Park. Definitely going back to Palmdale to see those stealthy beauties again soon.

It was a loooong day of hiking but after not summiting last year, finally reaching the peak feels so so sweet!

..today was a good day. I've been battling mentally day by day recently, hence the quiet from me on here, but today was a good one and I want to share it with y'all.

Running second shift from 2pm-2am is tiring for sure and not something I'd want long term, but late last night, I was responsible engineer on console for testing that's setting company history and I can't deny...that's cool.

About to go out for a weekday run at 10am because I'm working engineering test support for 2nd shift this week...feels weird. Hopefully I can start my main training this week off right for my 50k in 16 weeks.

Went on a run, feel somewhat better than this morning

More than once before I've quietly cleaned out my personal belongings from my desk at work so that I could just walk away at a moment's notice for one of multiple different reasons. It's not a healthy place to be in.

I never should have seen my career as something that can bring me fulfillment. I should have been treating it as something that is 100.0% transactional and 0.0% enjoyable.

If I did that from the beginning I wouldn't be stuck in this place where I try to balance both and end up disappointed in both.

I never should have started my career in a field that's engaging and interesting to me. I sit here 8 yrs later and those years have been for naught as it seems I haven't actually *built* any career.

I should have focused solely on money and location, and stuck with that til I retire or stop

Thinking about quitting my job and stepping away from engineering entirely.
