Allegedly pull a similar racist tactic in his father's race for mayor against Ed Koch. Won't repeat the slur. Many remember it & many make sure it wasn't forgotten

Got to see this on the big screen three years ago at Noir City DC. Alton's cinematography took my breathe. Added bonus: Cathy O'Donnell for once made me laugh

This isn't even about Argentina. It is about his hedge fund friends who are taking a bath betting on the Argentina economy which is run by a lunatic. Without this bail out, his supporters will lose their shirts

The Entertainer is a terrific book. It tells the story of her dad's life but also the story of the 20th entertainment industry because Talbot was part of almost every aspect of show business from Vaudeville to TV. I originally borrowed it from the library, but I liked it so much that I bought it.

Nope. It's billionaire hedge fund manager Rob Citrone, who has placed large bets on the future of the Argentine economy & was losing big. He is a friend and former colleague of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

A lovely & nasty little noir with the great Claude Rains & Audrey Totter. A little pre-code naughtiness from Constance Bennett

I was always impressed with this film. Diane is amazing. My problem now is some of the locations are jarringly phony NYC. One of my favorite breaking-the-fourth-wall gag is when Diane first walks into her new neighborhood bar, she brings a copy of The Godfather to read.

George was just trying to get to work.

ICE pepper-sprayed him, dragged him from his car, locked him in a detention center, and placed him on suicide watch. He even missed his young daughterโ€™s birthday in the process.

This man is a veteran and American citizen. Don't look away.

Trump is now calling for the arrest of elected representatives checking his power.

What else is left on the path to full-blown authoritarianism?

An aspiring tyrant in the makingโ€ฆ

Stephen Miller was always a POS. Here he is in high school, already looking middle-aged, giving a student government speech:

โ€œAm I the only one who is sick and tired of being told to pick up our trash when we have plenty of janitors who are paid to do it for us?โ€

IMHO, that's a little harsh. Even if you don't like most of the movie, the great Edward G. Robinson give a poignant performance, made more so by the fact that it was his last screen appearance. Eddie G should raise the quality above dreadful

Jamal Khashoggi, the Washington Post, and the Cost of Speaking Out As Saudi Arabia hosts comedians and courts gamers, the silenced voice of Jamal Khashoggi still echoes.

Washington Post dismantled the platform Jamal wrote on. Discarded the fellowship they created in his memory.

They fired me unjustly for speaking the truth.

But Iโ€™ll never stop talking about my friend, writer, and amazing human, Jamal Khashoggi.

RIP, Jamal.

Probably the same guy who thought he should play Spenser, Robert B. Parker's private eye. Poor Robert Urich spun in his grave.

This breaks my heart. Don Westlake (Richard Stark) is one of my favorite authors & was a big supporter of the mystery bookstore that my wife & I ran. Good movies have been made from the Stark novels (Point Blank, The Outfit) Keep Wahlberg, an awful Robert Parker's PI Spenser, away from crime fiction
