Yes. This is something that I saw with the Rihanna show as well. Every white person seems to hate it. But the culture understands.

Quite obvious:

People see playing something mediocre as worse than playing something bad. It's like watching an awful movie. You can laugh at it because of how awful it was. But a mediocre movie that had some good parts, it's hard not to feel indifferent, so you just call it awful so you can justify your time.

I currently have an unhealthy addiction to Xenoblade Chronicles. Like I want to know the whole story, characters, best builds, and all. But I also am going through the game completely blind and want to be surprised at every story beat. 100+ Hour games when done well are amazing.
