I got my first game of Xenos: Rampant in at the club finally. I’ve been trying to get a game in since it launched but too many others got in the way. Xioa CorpSec held the Comms Bunker against a rebel drop force, much fun was had with @derinselaffe.bsky.social . #nerdlings #wargaming #xenosrampant

With my tall thick hedges the fighting got a little difficult to judge so we fudged slightly the organisation. The Vikings managed to get through to the other side for the most part and Ivar killed the Saxon Chieftan in single combat! #nerdlings #pillage #wargaming

Meanwhile another band of Vikings were pelted by slingers as they ransacked the village. The fact they’d formed a shield wall helped a lot but the formation eventually broke up to pursue the slingers and offer help on the other flank.

Ivar the Red and his warband attacking a poor shepherd whilst the Saxon defenders struggle their way through a hedge! We played #pillage yesterday and had great fun. A simple enough game with just enough depth to offer tough choices. #nerdlings #wargaming #darkages

You’d be very surprised what people will pay for quality terrain that they don’t have to paint.

I’d certainly charge upwards of €250, I’d need to know the outlay and time it took to be more accurate.

Well I struggle too, these just happened to work out well!

An army marches on its stomach and so I’m making sure to have some supplies ready. These should again add to the table dressing efforts this year but they’ll also be loot markers in #pillage games at the #Geekend this year. These are from Strongold Terrain by the way! #nerdlings #wargaming

More cultists… well Temple Guard but I think they’ll serve as cultists in my Five Leagues game. I picked up some more at #Tactica today and that should round out the numbers. They’re from the Rangers of Shadow Deep range from North Star by the way! #nerdlings #wargaming

That’s what I used, might try teddy fur on another but I think I’m happy with this.

I made myself a Saxon cornhūs for #pillage. I wanted to try out the scouring pad method for thatching buildings. I think it came out well so I’ll likely use it on a good few more. #nerdlings #wargaming #terrainmaking #miniterrain

I’m trying to make an effort to dress the table better for some upcoming games of #pillage. To that effect I made a midden! Pretty simple stuff with balsa and twigs but I think it came out well. Now what to make next?

I don’t think I need any more Vikings for #Pillage but as I found another box of them I decided I’d paint a few before the rest get stashed away at the back of the cupboard. I added a flaming brand to one as it’s a thing in the game and I certainly don’t have any other troops with one. #nerdlings

I found a box of blisters that needed some attention, first up: some random temple guards. I grabbed a bunch a long while ago to play some Rangers of Shadow Deep but I never got that far into the campaigns. I should get back to it! #wargaming #nerdlings #minipainting
