I too would like a foot growing out of my ears (I wouldn’t. Bloody hair is already quite enough thank you).

Meant in jest. It’s a recurring joke with my American friends and their habit to add cinnamon to everything when it’s clearly a curry ingredient and should not be anywhere near anything sweet.

It’s because of the cinnamon.

So I’ve always wanted to ask. What do you use the turret for?

I mean, « nothing, it’s a turret » is a perfectly valid answer but in case you do soemthing with it, I’m intrigued.

I’m now realising that the Peter F Hamilton books I liked so much when they came out are nearly 30 years old.

Corollary: I was nearly 30 years younger then and it’s possible I wouldn’t like them as much as I did back then (as I don’t care as much about zero G sex as I did then for some reason).

Yeah; they’re a bit contrarian though.

We have an air conditioned floor in our house. They don’t really like it when the air con is on and will go and hang out in a room significantly hotter.

I suspect it’s also the appeal of a higher up spot; she’s probably dreaming of her savannah ancestors.

Done! And it was only 34C in Bordeaux today (I don’t know what that is in US dollars. 72 mph or 5 gallons 7oz. Whatevs). Easy peasy. No sweat ha ha.

Slowly progressing with timber prep for the console. The whole (3600x600) plank/tree slice has been ripped and jointed. Takes forever especially with outsize (>1700mm) planks.

Next steps are ripping / planing down to right thickness and glueing legs together.
