Do you use a rrrrregular router or is it something a bit more industrial? Does this work in one pass or do you have to do several passes? It seems to have removed a lot of material.

5 plateaux en chêne posés sur une table de jeu dans le même bois. Les plateaux sont tenus en place par des serre-joints afin d'assurer une bonne tenue lors de l'utilisation d'une défonceuse munie d'une bague à copier.

Positionnement à blanc des 5 plateaux qui ferment la table.
On est pas mal sur les dimensions.
La suite : découpe des angles et utilisation d'une défonceuse avec bague à copier pour avoir exactement les mêmes dimension que la table elle même. Ensuite les bordures à l'affleureuse.

ENORMOUS fucker!

A few sticks of leftover wood (walnut, Sipo, ash, oak) glued up under pressure. The first stage to making one or two end grain chopping boards of the ‘crazy paving’ variety.

A bunch of wood sticks left behind from woodworking projects, in various lengths, widths and thickness. Too much of a faff to cut and plane them down to corresponding size too make more chopping boards. It’s a game of diminishing returns; these are for the fire.

Three other batches of sticks (mostly ash, walnut and oak) prepped for glue up. Together with the lot under glue up now they will make one or two thick wood end grain chopping boards. By my estimations I should be able to make two boards: one 28x40 cms, the other 28x28cms. Both 4cm thick. That will be it for a while then.

I reckon. The rest of them sticks are for the fire, it’s just too faffy. That’s still (*counts on sticky fingers*) 5 glue ups to go though. Gonna need more glue.

You’re not half joking. Fragrances based on wood species is something I need to bring up wirh my wife, who’s into that sort of thing. I love that leathery, tannin-y walnut smell. Not as much as ash which makes my shop smell like a bakery but quite a bit still.

That’s really good! Giving me good ideas. Sadly lacking time to execute any of them.
