I sometimes do a little meditative technique where I imagine that I've died and that, before I go on to whatever comes next, I get to go back and re-live a random moment of my life. Not to change anything, but just to see what it was like.
And it's this moment.

So keeping the NHS in public hands, to take one example, is far left? Check out the Overton Window - what you call far left was called moderate left before Thatcher forced everything a few goose steps to the right.

Just finished this yesterday and madly in love with it (especially Jacket, who is a very good boy). Popped a glowing review up on Amazon, and not just because I know the author. This really is one of the best modern urban sci-fi fantasy books I've read in a while. Definitely worth your time.
27.02.2026 11:36 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 1I agree about Brexit. The antisemitism thing was a fake news-assisted demolition by the UK media though, who hammered away at the lie that anti-Zionism = antisemitism. One of the most rotten bits of propaganda I've ever seen.
28.02.2026 11:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For clarity, how would you say Corbyn fucked up?
27.02.2026 23:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ok, thanks. So who is your hope for the Left?
27.02.2026 20:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wow, interesting. I see ZP as a leader the Left has been waiting for since the 80s, principled but charismatic enough to stand up to the far right bias of UK media. What puts you off him?

Successive interviews by Nick Robinson this morning perfectly sum up the BBC:
with Zack Polanski: sneering, aggressive, constantly interrupting.
with David Bull, Reform's Chairman: polite, nodding along, barely any interruptions.
Amazing. Will share the link when it's up so you can listen too.

This one saw print in an Anathema Publishing hardcover back in 2021.

So Reform plan to deport up to 288,000 people a year if they are elected.
Conveniently, thatβs almost exactly the number of registered Reform members.
Letβs deport them instead.
They are mostly couch potato OAPs and they really wouldnβt be missed.
Job done β peace restored.
The findings that come from an DNA studies fascinate me. The fact that DNA can even be extracted from ancient bones (and sometimes teeth) is amazing.
