I think the use of chatbots for stuff like this is intended to train people to use it to avoid everything that’s painful or hard. It can write the obituary, the breakup text, the complaint letter. It’s meant to separate humans from their difficult feelings. Seems bad.

He straight up, deliberately lies about demonstrable facts (the jobs revision happened before not after the election and Trump called it out at the time!) and no reporter challenges him on it. No
Sunday show host challenged his officials about his lies. He gets away with it.

Biden was asked to stand down from office for much less.

In some ways, the drug prices thing is the platonic ideal of Trump assertions:

In the past few weeks, the former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert has referred to "ethnic cleansing" and "concentration camps" in Gaza, while a former Israeli Attny Gen, a former Israeli general, and one of Israel's most famous authors, have all said it's a genocide in Gaza.

This is how it’s done.

This is a woman so extreme and bigoted that even Fox (Fox!) once suspended her for suggesting Ilhan Omar’s Islamic faith made her disloyal to the US and the Constitution.

But she’s not too extreme or bigoted for the Trump administration.

We’re just not a serious country anymore. Beyond a joke.

The young boy was killed by Israeli gunfire at an aid distribution point in Gaza.

Everything about this story is horrific:

1. The student never mentions Jews
2. The university is going to expel a student for criticizing a country over genocide
3. A Republican congressman is taking credit and implying the student is a Muslim terrorist
4. The U.S. Justice Department is involved

This thread (and the multiple quotes) remind me of something: it is a lot harder to build something than it is to break it down.

There is no “Democratic Stephen Miller” because turning off a hundred switches takes one person, but turning on one hundred programs is going to take thousands.
