Delighted to hear from the First Minister this week during his visit to Inverness that the Β£2 bus fare cap will be in effect across the whole region by the end of the month, making journeys more affordable.

The SNP is tackling the cost of living and encouraging the use of public transport. 🚌

Four bullet points. 1 Housing is my top priority. Houses should be homes first and foremost. The geographical unfairness of energy bills is indefensible. Those who face colder winters, have old homes, & generate more energy should have lower bills. The SNP has provided record NHS funding. Waiting times have fallen for 8 months in a row. We built a National Treatment Centre. I've spoken up for road & rail improvements

I was pleased to see the Highland News & Media Readers' Manifesto aligned closely with my own views and priorities for Inverness and Nairn.

I responded in full, covering past achievements and plans for the future.

Ah that's a shame - Education was in-person (it's the one I chaired!) and social care online.

Are you able to forward me the info you had? I can also feed back that it was unclear that only one breakout was online, as I was involved in the planning.

Hi Kim, sorry I didn't see this at the time.

The online breakout was on social care - were you not accessing that? I hope you managed to contribute.

Emma and two activists smile - there is snow in the background, but sun in their faces. Two other images of different campaign sessions are overlaid. Text reads "Continuing to campaign. I’m still getting out and about in Inverness and Nairn between parliament sittings - I and activists have welcomed the long-awaited first sun of the campaign while canvassing in Hilton, Merkinch, Smithton, and Auldearn!"

Paper clippings read "Roddick raises concerns on proposed aesthetics regs" and, a quote from Emma, "I'm extremely disappointed to have had strong representation from people in the Highlands & Moray who are not being listened to." Below is a caption - "Alongside cross-party colleagues, I met with campaigners and spoke about the Moray FLOW Park. I met with the Health Minister to relay concerns about aesthetics law. "

Emma takes a selfie inside Inverness Castle. Overset text reads "Seeing Inverness Castle officially open. It was wonderful to join in the official opening of Inverness Castle, alongside colleagues from the Scottish and UK Governments and the Highland Council. The building is impressive and promotes meaningful, slow tourism across the Highlands - well worth a visit!"

Emma smiles on Nairn Bandstand. Overset text reads "Voting for the SNP's budget. Our budget passed decisively and will now deliver for all of Scotland, including the Highlands and Islands. Having spoken with social care providers in the city - such as L'Arche - ahead of Stage 3, I was glad to see an extra Β£20m allocated to councils to cover pay rises to the Real Living Wage."

I've been racing up and down on the train, making sure I'm in parliament to contribute to debates and vote on important matters, while also getting out and about on the campaign trail as much as possible.

I've listened to business owners in the Highlands who are concerned about proposed regulation of non-medical aesthetics.

I met with the Minister about this: while I agree regulation is needed, I want to make sure Highland businesses are heard.

The SNP is on Scotland's side: that's why we're tackling the cost of living.

Many people are struggling right now and looking for real change and hope for the future.

The SNP is delivering now: imagine what we could do with the full powers of an independent country 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 πŸ’›

The Capital Spending Review allows for the commencement of the construction of the A9/A96 Inshes to Smithton link road in 2028-29 and the Nairn Bypass in 2029-30, subject to business case approval and confirmation of funding.

I'm glad the Scottish Government listened to my calls for the Nairn Bypass to be brought forward to as soon as possible within the overall project timescale. This is what I have been arguing for, as it is the most urgent part of the dualling programme.

I've signed an open letter alongside colleagues in Holyrood and Westminster to Ofcom, urging rejection of the application to merge STV North with Central, which would disadvantage north audiences.
You can have your say here:
