In Feather and Claw (FnC), hunter is the one who carried a vow of Phoenix (a creature resemble as God), they vow to God and kill the beast to save people

These two are different from each other

Julia is independent in a negative way, she won't calling for help even she's stuck or she's hurt. To her, it is the act of pathetic.

While Alvis take advantage of others a lot, if it is for his purpose, he won't hesitate to use anyone
