This is straight up correlation ≠ causation.

These AI Google Cloud commercials doing “statistical analysis” about baseball are ironically a great example of the weakness of these AI models. Yes the models spit out information to you, but they aren’t actually able to give you knowledge because all the info given in the commercials is spurious.

Way to humble brag about multiple romantic relationships.

There’s probably a better way to put students in different spaces where aptitudes can match and not have someone too far ahead or too far behind creating intra and interpersonal problems. But that’s their underlying intent.

As others note, they often become spaces where parents demand access as a means to assuage their own insecurities about their kids future, or they often become ways to be sexist and/or racist by breaking students out based on preconceived notions of merit.

In its purest non compromised form it’s about having different spaces for students with different aptitudes so that one teacher aren’t trying to simultaneously manage students doing different things or so that students aren’t all doing the same thing and having different comprehension levels.
