If there's any realm in which I've made a name for myself, it's that I go out of my way to be uncomfortable. There's a part of me that loves sucking at things.

The pain of failing over and over, paired with the pleasure of succeeding just once, are the most addicting feelings I've ever experienced.

Was lucky enough to enjoy five minutes of actual sunlight this morning before it hid itself behind the clouds.

It feels at least a little ironic that I tend to do the same thing. Literally with my hat here, other times in what I choose to share.

There's an intimacy in music I never knew existed until I started learning guitar. Playing alongside someone opens up a vulnerability you can't experience elsewhere, and finding yourself in sync with them is a euphoric experience.

Listen, I'm as liberal as anyone else here, but isn't it the slightest bit concerning there are either a) no conservative voices on Bluesky, or b) they are being suppressed?

Do we really want to live in an echo chamber? We don't need radicalism, but we do need conversation.

Please don't group me in with this nonsense. I've been very public in my life about how I make 100% of my own meals and track 100% of my expenses. Averaging out costs in 2023 (I need to run the numbers for 2024), each meal cost me ~$4, and I eat a lot.

A freaking men. Lunch for days.

I2I and Stand Out are unironically top 50 90s songs and I will defend that statement to my grave.

That is a HUGE win, brother! I'm proud of you. Wait until you hit a year. You'll be amazed at how good life really is.

Why did you quit drinking?

Reason 1 of ∞ for me: One time I was partying with friends and we were determined to break records. My night ended (or so I thought) on my friend's couch. ~3AM, woke up, puked on his couch & drove an hour home instead of facing him. Still drunk, eyes half open.

That one time I went out with my camera and came home with photos I actually liked.

It's been 5 years since I couldn't make it through the day without taking a nap.

It's been 5 years since I've wasted a moment of my life because I felt too shitty to move.

It's been 5 years since I've done something so fucking stupid I couldn't show my face in public.

It's been 5 years since my last drink.

Narrowly forgotten, our words can’t help but feel weightless in times of abounding tragedy. / For the pen is mightier than the sword, an ancient proverb states. / Aye, but little can the mighty pen do in the face of artillery.

Today seems like a good day to remind myself of my one true resolution. Live a life that allows me to do whatever the fuck I want, whenever the fuck I want.

That soundtrack will never not hit.
