Many of us care, but elected Democrats are, and have a history of, caring more about decorum, precedent, and procedures to express the seriousness, and public officials haven't locked the doors and told Musk to get a court order to enter these agencies.

Reciprocal tariffs mean the USA will tax the import of green coffee at that 8% rate that Brazil has - meaning *you* (the consumer) will be paying at minimum 8% more for all your coffee and related products as a direct result.

The USA produces *zero* raw coffee beans - our climates are not suitable. Brazil makes lots of raw coffee and has an 8% tariff on the import of green coffee to protect local producers from being undercut.

The stupidity of reciprocal tariffs exemplified by a single commodity: raw coffee beans.

For a more serious answer: it's narrative shaping. This is the new tactic - flood digital spaces with people (and "people") who are given a common talking point and told to shoehorn it into popular media. Conservatives don't have much cultural sway and this is how they create a mirage of a majority
