I served with this guy (not even vaguely; on a crew together, side-by-side on combat missions). I can say with certainty that he knows better than this. Thought he was one of the good ones. What a shameful disappointment. Inexcusable.

This is helpful. And the way the author explains the power of knowing what to look for & naming the strategies in order to control your responses to them is exactly what I say about Trump's rhetoric. It's hard/impossible to engage your analytic mind when your amygdala's hijacked, so learn & prepare.
