Delighted to share our consensus statement on perinatal loneliness - we outline the current evidence and share reflections on priorities for research, policy and practice.

Thanks to the NIHR Three Schools Mental Health Programme for funding my fellowship that led to this important paper. NIHR School for Primary Care Research @ashmore1973.bsky.social

Recommendations for future research include secondary data analysis; prioritising equality, diversity and inclusion; reconsidering solutions to perinatal loneliness through a social justice lens; co-producing interventions, and rigorous evaluation of existing interventions

We concluded: Despite emerging research into perinatal loneliness, it is hard to determine prevalence due to limited analyses of national survey data.

What are the benefits of nature-based interventions in the early years? What are the future directions for research and practice? This amazing graphic summarises the reflections of 30 academics and practitioners who met at our conference! We will be sharing a blog soon, but enjoy this for now!
