If you set up some cold brew coffee to brew in the fridge now, you'll have homemade cold brew coffee tomorrow morning.
I've been doing this as my Sunday night ritual for a while now. Totally worth the few minutes at the end of the weekend.
Four beaded bag charms based on a gold metal theme. Beads are primarily red, white, pink, & clear. There are some stamped metal charms, including seashells, parrot, heart, and fish. On the right side of the image are some tools used. A one-step looper, two chain-nose pliers, & a wire cutter.
It took 5 hours but I've turned more of my stash of craft supplies into bag charms. Metal, glass, wood, & plastic beads used. Chain segments from spools form backbones.
I've also "kitted" parts for 2 more in the same mode but slightly different beads to assemble later.
I guess they'll be gifts?
Check out the adventure @venustheory.bsky.social & @bennjordan.bsky.social did to get sound design inputs (reverb impulses) from a cave in the United States:

A top-down view of handmade beaded phone charms. There are four main designs, with seven to nine of each design. Some of the beads look like owls. Some look like starfish.
After I did that post I went on to make all these phone charms. Mostly glass & metal, some plastic beads. They are colorful & sparkling & make me happy. They also used up some fun beads that I got but can't see using for jewelry.
Not sure what I'm going to do with 39 phone charms though.
Two weeks ago, inspired by this post, I pulled out my jewelry- making supplies & used them, finishing today.
I made bag charms bc I don't know if these metal findings are nickel-free but bags DGAF about allergies.
So, glass, metal, & plastic. Probably will tarnish with time & fall apart with use.
Uh, might have the wrong Shadow Dancer there. I'm following @paulsdmcr.bsky.social

Slight correction: I'm not buying your full catalog if it costs $300. I'll buy a $1 album for $10.

Time to buy more discographies on bandcamp from my mutual sky buddies!
Drop your username with a link & if you have a full discography option I'll get it. Otherwise I'll get your latest album. I will pay too much for it.
My username is vocalbird, for reference.
Here's where I ordered mine from on Etsy:

You can get nut plates instead that install into the rails as one long piece. I've converted mine already.

(Not obvious from my wording above: she would brush my hair straight because she enjoyed it & wished it was hers.)
She now gets her hair treated chemically to remove the curls, & has the straight hair she always wanted.
I have not yet told her I have curly hair after all.
My mom has the sort of large-diameter curly hair that grows outwards from the scalp in a dome.
My mom therefore always wanted long straight hair but she couldn't have it. So having a daughter with long straight hair was the next best thing.
I thought curly hair meant it was curly no matter what.
The back of a head of hair, with very obvious loose curls
This is how it looked after the hairdresser just used leave-in conditioner on it after she did the cutting dry. At home I've been able to get even more pronounced curls, depending on which conditioner I use.
How did I never realize this before? Well, it has to do with my mom & her hair...
So if I only comb it when it's wet with a wide toothed comb in the shower with conditioner, then let it air dry, I get actual curls.
The most difficult part is remembering not to run my fingers thru my hair, because that has the same result as brushing.
Recently learned from a hairdresser that I have curly hair, not just wavy hair, & the less I do to it the better it looks.
Like, I always brushed my hair before & after it dried, because that's what one does with hair, right?
That was partially straightening my hair this whole time!?!?

That reminds me - I was at a work-related event last week where they were occasionally bringing up AI as a resource. Whenever I had to refer to it directly I called it "the giant plagiarism machine" instead.

I should dig out the solar binoculars I got for the 2024 eclipse and see if the potentially civilization-ending sunspot is visible tomorrow.
On one hand, it'll really cramp my long-term retirement plans. On the other hand, maybe it stops the giant plagiarism machine for a while.
Maybe there's some exothermic reaction using common household chemicals? Hopefully one that doesn't produce harmful fumes or rapid unscheduled disassembly of the dwelling?
One option available online are candle-based radiant heaters that appear to be made from stacked cast-iron or terracotta.
Do you get them the dark chocolate chips, too? I find the dark ones more rewarding than the milk ones.
Oh, & if we have mini marshmallows those also go in the bowl.
Plenty of sites do the thing where anything over a certain value gets free shipping, but they make a big deal about it. Tayda is apparently using Calvin-Ball rules.
