Cuomo was the only major candidate who lost a primary, and then only ran on an independent ticket because schizo billionaire Bill Ackman gave him tens of millions to sabotage Zohran. That Sliwa. Such a spoiler.

My current favorite thing is videos of people with the reddest faces you've ever seen going "fuck you sliwa you spoiled the election" despite the fact that Zohran won more than 50% of the vote.

"Mr. Cuomo, what do you have to say regarding criticism you've run a highly racialized, islamophobic campaign?"

"Zo-hrann Momdommy eats rice with his hands and hangs out with terrorist streamers named Hasan. He's going to do 9/11 2."

"Fuckin goddamn dude. I mean- I guess it answers the question."

It's also a good example of how you can have moments of comedy without undercutting the subject matter (silly though it is).

Gonna finish out the series. Strong first two entries.

Sorority Babes is very much in a similar category to Chopping Mall or something. Had a blast with it. Tourist Trap is a real hidden gem. Sure it's ripping off everything from Texas Chainsaw to Psycho to Carrie, but it's really well done imo.

First one is pretty rough, but the two sequels are a lot of fun if you can get into the headspace to enjoy absolutely tasteless sleazy slasher trash. Probably makes more sense to watch them all, but you could get away with skipping the first one.

May rules, great character piece. Underrated movie

One of most emotionally stirring horror films I think I've ever seen. I was also surprised to find out it's one of those movies you wouldn't imagine Ebert would fuck with but for whatever reason he totally got it.

The adage about the left being correct but too early continues to be the defining feature of American politics.

My main takeaway from the protests doesn't have anything to do with some larpers online are saying, but If I were this guy and that were my concern I'd be more troubled by the fact Debbie from HR has a closer worldview to the online communists he hates than him.

I do in fact feel very owned that the average democratic voter now mostly agrees with my worldview and believes yours has utterly failed

If Wheels on Meals doesn't get someone hyped idk what will.

It's such a beautiful love letter to making movies it got me tearing up at the end

People might find the goofball comedy typical of these kinds of hong kong movies dominates the first two thirds, but I love that stuff and the action in the last half hour is so fucking good. Seeing Big Trouble in Little China as a kid primed to fall in love with this type of stuff.
